Terms of Service

Last updated: [date]

These Terms govern your use of MockingBird, including the VS Code extension and the web application at studio.mockingbirdai.dev (together, the "Service"), operated by MockingBird ("we," "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

MockingBird provides access to multiple third-party AI model providers through a single interface, along with workspace context, conversation history, and codebase editing features.

2. Third-party models

MockingBird routes requests to third-party AI providers (including Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and DeepSeek). We aren't responsible for the outputs of those models, and your use of them is also subject to those providers' own terms.

3. Accounts

You're responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity under it.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Paid tiers (Pro, Max) are billed monthly. Credit pools reset each billing cycle and don't roll over. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period.

5. Your code and content

You retain ownership of your code and content. We don't claim rights over what you write or build using the Service.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service — including attempting to circumvent rate limits or credit pool restrictions, or using the Service for unlawful purposes.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is." We're not liable for damages arising from your use of the Service, including AI-generated code or content, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
