Get started with MockingBird

MockingBird is a VS Code extension and a companion web app. Install the extension, open a workspace, and start a conversation — the rest follows from there.

1. 01

   Install the extension

   Install MockingBird from the VS Code marketplace, then sign in from the sidebar panel.

2. 02

   Open a workspace

   Open the folder you're working in. MockingBird scopes context, file references, and chat history to that workspace.

3. 03

   Start a conversation

   Pick a model, ask for what you need, and switch providers mid-conversation whenever you want — your context carries over.
