The $17 credit pool

Pro runs on a real dollar credit pool: $17 of model usage per month, charged at each model's actual API cost. Use it however you want — thousands of messages on cheap models, or fewer on pricier ones. There's no separate per-model message cap except on Opus 4.6.

If the pool runs out before the month resets, Pro falls back to Go's models rather than cutting you off.

Opus 4.6 — windowed

Opus 4.6 is Pro's one restricted model — a taste of flagship performance, paced through the day rather than pool-limited: 4 windows of 7 messages each, 28 messages/day total. This isn't a smaller slice of your $17 — it's the same budget your pool already covers, just spread out instead of available all at once. Unlimited, unwindowed Opus 4.6 access is a Max feature.
